Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon: Icebergs and Europe’s Largest Glacier

The highlight of the day is Jökulsárlón—a famous glacier lagoon located in southeast Iceland, where you can immerse yourself in the ethereal ambiance of crystal-blue ice, panoramic views of Iceland’s largest glacier, and lively wildlife, including curious seals and Arctic Skuas. Although swimming in the lagoon is forbidden, there is an option to take an amphibian boat ride to explore closer icebergs floating in the lagoon (additional cost applies). Boat tours operate during the summer season, between June and September.

Explore icebergs that break off from the glacier and land on the renowned ‘Diamond’ or ‘Crystal’ Beach before they drift into the ocean, just near the lagoon.
